Riding Lessons

Whatever your experience and level of skill Elms Farm Equine has something for you. Riders of all abilities, from complete novices through to those of advanced skill, will benefit from our range of lessons. These are available for people who want to ride our horses or ponies and for others who prefer lessons on their own animals. All lessons can be tailored to your needs and each rider is treated as an individual. All riders wanting semi-private and group lessons will be assessed prior and grouped with those of a similar standard.

Private Lessons

These one-to-one lessons are designed to benefit people who require more concentrated tuition to improve their riding skills, or for riders with their own horses that need help with their training. These are our most popular lessons, especially for adults. Children benefit greatly from the individual attention allowing them to gain a greater understanding of certain principles of riding.

Semi-Private Lessons

Catering for 2 to 3 individuals, these are our most popular lessons for children allowing them to all receive a good level of tuition along with sociable riding and learning with others.

Group Lessons

At Elms Farm Equine we only cater for up to 5 in a group lesson. This is for the more experienced rider who is able to canter confidently. Group lessons help riders to be aware of others riding around them and to be in control of the horse or pony without the instructor having complete attention on them. It can be a very fun way for children to watch and learn from others.

Lunge Lessons

Lunge lessons are for clients who wish to concentrate on their own riding position.

Dressage & Jumping Lessons

These are available upon request.
