Chris Brown
Chris is responsible for day-to-day running of the farm via inter-relationships of all the activities hosted on the farm. His passion for conservation and shooting is well renowned. Chris attended Riseholme Agricultural College studying HND in Agricultural Business Management. Chris has since been working in the agricultural industry for 15 years, taking over the family farm in 2000.
“It has been my intention to reinstate the land under our ownership, to the same landscape features as shown on the 1890 maps. Through a structured process which incorporates wildlife habitation, hedge and tree planting, grassland management and the de-intensification of intensive farming.”

Jenny Brown BHSII (Reg’d)
Jenny has over 15 years experience of Livery Management and Teaching. She has worked with a wide variety of horses including competition and rehab horses. She regularly rides and has had a wide variety of riding experience to include hunting, show jumping (BSJA Newcomers) and has competed up to British Eventing Novice Level.
Jenny is responsible for the day-to-day running of the livery yard, making sure that it runs smoothly alongside the rest of the farm. A great deal of her time is spent training staff, teaching livery and riding school clients from beginners to advanced, together with schooling and bringing horses on and competing with her own horse.

Rebecca Ballinger
Head Groom
Rebecca joined us part-time in November 2008 and in November 2010 became a full time Head Groom. She spends the majority of her time based on the yard ensuring that all horses are cared for to a high standard and accompanies Jenny to major competitions.
Rebecca has worked in a variety of yards and currently holds her BHS Stage 4 Horse Care & Knowledge and is working towards her BHS Stable Managers qualification and her BHS PTT exam. Rebecca's interests lie in dressage and hunting.
Rebecca helps train our NVQ student Rosie and has ran the Elms Farm Equine Pony Club for several years, organising a variety of weekly activities for children to learn about looking after and handling ponies correctly.

Rosie Ashley
Trainee NVQ Level 2
Rosie joined the team in September 2010 as a full time NVQ student, working towards her Level 2 qualification. Rosie has worked on several yards including work experience on a professional show jumping yard.
She likes day-to-day exercise riding but her passion is jumping! She has had the opportunity to hunt with the Quorn this season and thoroughly enjoyed it.
